A new and exciting culinary destination is brewing in rural Maine along the scenic Kennebec River. The Biergarten, a German-inspired beer garden featuring locally sourced food, craft beer, and community events, is set to open its doors in May 2025. Nestled along the picturesque Kennebec River gorge, this new gathering space will combine the warmth of Bavarian culture with the rustic charm of Central Maine.

“This isn’t just a place to grab a beer—it’s a community gathering place,” said Amber Lambke . “The Biergarten is designed to bring people together around shared tables, whether they’re locals looking for a welcoming spot to gather or visitors exploring the beauty of Maine. With live music, special events, and high-quality local food and drink, we’re creating a space where everyone belongs and every visit connects people to one another.”

In addition to its focus on great food and entertainment, the Biergarten is committed to sustainability and local partnerships. Owned and operated by the Miller’s Table at Maine Grains, the Biergarten will work closely with local farms, musicians, and breweries to ensure that everything—from the ingredients to the entertainment—supports Maine’s economy and Skowhegan’s history and positive growth.
